Paris in December

Hello all!

I am officially back in Paris and have been enjoying the Christmas season for the past week! I can not believe how much the season has changed in 3 short weeks. It officially feels like Christmas and it feels wonderful! I have spent the past week meeting up with my best friends and going out for lots of wonderful meals and outings! I finally went to the Louvre on Thursday with my friends Elyssa and Brad! We were there for 4 hours and saw so much! I thought it would be sort of boring but I truly enjoyed every moment!

Saturday we spent the whole day celebrating my 24th birthday (Yes, I am officially old). We had champagne at Natalie and Dave’s apartment with a group of 6 of us. We then went to this super cool place called Schmuck’s for drinks. The atmosphere was beautiful with dimmed lighting and massive chandeliers overhead. We then went out to dinner to a very famous restaurant called Maxim’s. It is a Paris staple and has been frequented by famous celebrities and personalities for many many years. It was a very “Parisian” type restaurant with dimmed lighting, waiters in black tie’s and suits, and a woman on the piano playing next to candlelight. After our amazing dinner, we went to the “dive bar” or the bar near school that everyone frequents. It was so much fun because not only was I with 6 of my best friends all evening, but at the dive bar I was able to see all of my other buddies from school that I have not seen in 3 weeks. It was the best feeling ever. The Russian boys sang Happy Birthday to me in Russian! This was followed by a freshly made Crepe and candles and everyone singing Happy Birthday in English! It was the most amazing birthday ever!

Today I am leaving Paris to go traveling with my friends Elyssa, Brad, and Elyssa’s best friend from home, Lee. We are going to London tonight, Manchester tomorrow for Brad’s best friends birthday, then back to London for 4 nights. After London, we fly to Ireland for 4-5 days! I am very excited for our adventures and am ecstatic to finally be traveling! I will try to post some pictures while I am gone!

Hope all is well with everyone across seas! Enjoy the holiday season and relish your friends and family! I love you all!

With love from Paris,

Britt xoxo
